This weekend’s look is a little confused because, well, I was a little confused. There was finally a forecast of rainstorms and showers for soCal, which made me so happy! I love the fresh smell of a rainy weekend, and was looking forward to brunching in my warm winter ware. But try as it might to rain, the sunshine prevailed for the most part, leading to fashion improvisations on my part. I ended up with the unconventional look of sandaled feet and a fur-lined face–a look that I’ll definitely replicate going forward (no sweaty ugg feet for me, thx)! Made brunching outdoors on an overcast day super comfy and still glam. I know this isn’t a look you’re likely to see on the east coast, but it was perfect for a more chilly, still chic Cali weekend!
Ran into this fabulous chica while brunching at Mattei’s. Her brunch outfit looked super comfy but also so stylish! She was celebrating her birthday and just looked so happy with her oysters and champagne and the beautiful ambience! The best part of her outfit? The striped top is actually her boyfriend’s sweater — she “made it work” because she got cold! WHHAAAAT. That’s the sign of a true fashionista… making it work, no matter the circumstances. Her pants? Fabulous, and from Splendid. Get them here or here.
Ran into this girl wine tasting in central cali today and was totally taken by her cute classy getup. Her colorful kimono stands out against her all black outfit, pairing well with her big glasses for a very glam effect! Personally, I’m always about the dresses when wine tasting, but I love this take! Glam, comfortable, but still light & fun! Winning look in my book!
Even the busiest city girl has time for some classic Wuthering Heights during lunch. How cute is that book, by the way? And the fact that it matches her glammed out BCBG outfit?? It’s all about the little things, people! (Speaking of books, my college girlfriends and I are starting a book club! First thing on the list : Brain on Fire! Comment below if you’re interested in joining && maybe I’ll start a separate Book Club blog segment!)
Not many can pull off this denim piece from my childhood, but this cutie sure did! I loved how she paired up the overalls with a striped crop top, black mid platform sandals, and topped it off with a cute messy side braid – such a young and flirty look!
On top of having great fashion, this girl also has her own organic cotton candy, called Bon Puf! Check it out!
We came across this beaut while she was promoting the feminine classic chic clothing line byVivian Chan.As soon as we spotted her across the room, we knew we had to feature her on the blog! The clean lines and impeccable structure were too good to pass up. Below, she is wearing the “Rosie” skirt, which is pulling a Hannah Montana by giving you the best of both worlds; shorts and a full skirt. The sheer area of the skirt keeps it classy, by revealing the perfect amount of skin. Her “Angelina” top is a modern turtleneck, that is excellent for layering! Just so we’re clear: basics aren’t basic. We LOVE basics, all year every year! Keep your wardrobe simple and focus on seasonal accent colors like navy, olive green, and black. Incorporate patterns like stripes or simple geometric shapes to keep things fun yet simple! Love this look on my sis because she kept her outfit super toned down and then threw on those BRIGHT orange moroccan flats as a fun statement.

This Betsy Johnson inspired look definitely caught our eye on the way to lunch! THOSE TIGHTS? Yes, yes, yes. Taking a dark dress and pairing it with funky, patterned tights is what we’re all about as the winter months roll in. Wanna make your look a little more badass? Try a leather jacket and some combat boots. BAD BITCH look, but still classy. We’re into it.
Sending out this inspo to all the darlings stuck in the cold this week! It’s still sunny in LA, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! With Thanksgiving around the corner, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before we stash our cut-off shorts and start nomming on the pumpkin pie. I’m lovin’ this look because it features two pieces that I knowww I’ll be wearing all winter long: body chains (YES) & kimonos (think paired over a long sleeve, under a leather jacket, or with denim tied in!).
