Los Angeles based designers and sisters, Carine (left) and Arda (right) founded a boutique line of bags and jewelry, which initially began as an outlet of self expression, eventually leading to the establishment of Arda Marie Jewelry and Tannery LA. Each of the collections are filled with simple and versatile pieces — leathers, stones, and metallics, that are great for any occasion! Be sure to check out their work at Unique LA in December!
This weekend was crazy busy and filled with art & theater! (So busy that I forgot my camera — tears! — so you’ll have to bare with my iphone quality pics above!!) Inspired by Fall, I wore a flowy tunic dress with shoulder cut-outs and accent sleeves. I love the coral color because it pairs well with neutral makeup and the soft browns of my shoes / bag. Even though my dress is a solid color, I felt that the flowy sleeves were statement pieces themselves, and opted out of much jewelry! I kept the bling to my rose gold rings and the gold chain of my purse. In these pics, I’m sporting strappy sandals, but switched those out for dark tan heels at night!

Store: Leola Lace
Location: 301 E 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Hours: Mon – Closed, Tue -Sun 11am-7pm
What You’ll Find: Leola Lace has a wide variety of clothing styles, ranging from classic chic to bohemian. They also have a fabulous selection of purses and totes, along with beautiful pieces of both bold and dainty jewelry. The boutique usually has new styles and items on display each week, which means you should shop by once a week so you don’t miss out!
What We Loved: The owner and the employees (they are the sweetest), the interior design (succulents, terrariums, cloth covering windows), the wide variety of dainty necklaces and rings, and the sales rack!
Price Range: The jewelry usually ranges from $12 -$15, but there are a selection of higher quality pieces, ranging from $20-$30. The tops are around $20+ and dresses are $35+, but Larissa and I did find some great items on the sales rack (You’ll see if you keep scrolling)!
♥ Looks we Loved ♥
• The emerald dress can be paired with a blazer for work, then stripped down to expose the open back for cocktails and a night out on the town! A great outfit for a top knot bun too!
• The boxy, hot pink dress would be easy to slip on for work, and since the look is very bold, all you’ll need to complete the outfit are simple black heels! In the evening, ditch the work bag for a cute patterned clutch!
• The long sleeved lavender dress is perfect for both summer and fall/winter. The light and refreshing palette can be great during a cool summer’s day, complemented with bold jewelry and wedges. When fall rolls around, you could easily pair the dress up with tights/leggings and boots!
There is nothing I love more than cheetah print…okay, maybe I love margaritas a little bit more, but we can discuss that over happy hour…
A few days ago, I had a meeting at work with this lovely girl (below), and I fell in love with her outfit. So in love, that i had to awkwardly ask if I could take some photos to show all of you!
I loved it not only because it was something that one could possibly find in my closet, but because how effortlessly it was put together! Although, a fairly simple ensemble, it exuded so much character! I have to say that it wasn’t just the cheetah print skirt that caught my attention, but the details of the outfit – the front of her top tucked into her skirt, the loose braided belt, dainty stacked rings on her fingers, and her shoes (heart eyes)! So, don’t be surprised if you see me attempting to rock this outfit sometime soon… with a margarita in hand, of course ;)
Side note: she mentioned that her skirt was from American Apparel!
