Location: 2350 Railway Avenue, Los Olivos, CA 93441
Halfsies Rating: ★★★★★
Halfsies Bank: $$
Genre: American
Great for: Brunch / Your wedding / Living here forever

This place is a little magical getaway in the middle of Los Olivos. It’s perfect for brunch because outdoor seating is plentiful. There’s a huge grassy outside area with bocce ball, live music, and lots of space for dancing and frolicking in the sunshine! Plus, the food is amaaaaazing. So is the coffee. Do you really need anything more?? #heaven

Brunch was followed by a fun little photo shoot around the grounds! We were all soooo over caffeinated after 4 cups of coffee each… the stuff was just so damn good and they kept refilling our mugs!!

How fun is this little chalk board cabana?? It’s literally a cabana on the grounds and the walls are all chalk… pretty sure it’s there for little kids to doodle on while their parents brunch. We’re kids. That’s why we love it.

Weekend Wardrobe: Staring at Stars

2015/01/img_8635.jpg

It’s so appropriate that my dress is made by Staring at Stars because that’s basically all I did last weekend! I kid you not… I stared at the stars, basked in sunshine, and drank and drank wine w my bests! So much fun! I love this dress because it’s long but the slip is super short so it’s still really flirty while appearing long and proper! Downside, it’s tight and not ideal for days of drinking and eating cheese… But then again HAY! Who cares.

2015/01/img_83221.jpgEven the busiest city girl has time for some classic Wuthering Heights during lunch. How cute is that book, by the way? And the fact that it matches her glammed out BCBG outfit?? It’s all about the little things, people! (Speaking of books, my college girlfriends and I are starting a book club! First thing on the list : Brain on Fire! Street Style: Overalls and Cropped Tops

Not many can pull off this denim piece from my childhood, but this cutie sure did! I loved how she paired up the overalls with a striped crop top, black mid platform sandals, and topped it off with a cute messy side braid – such a young and flirty look!

On top of having great fashion, this girl also has her own organic cotton candy, called Bon Puf! Check it out!

Street Style: Vivian Chan

We came across this beaut while she was promoting the feminine classic chic clothing line by Vivian Chan.  As soon as we spotted her across the room, we knew we had to feature her on the blog! The clean lines and impeccable structure were too good to pass up. Below, she is wearing the “Rosie” skirt, which is pulling a Hannah Montana by giving you the best of both worlds; shorts and a full skirt. The sheer area of the skirt keeps it classy, by revealing the perfect amount of skin. Her “Angelina” top is a modern turtleneck, that is excellent for layering! Dress It Up or Down

Most of the time, I am the person at the holiday parties that is way overdressed. I can’t help that I love clothes and dressing up! Life of an aspiring fashionista… For this year’s holiday party, I decided to mix it up a bit – dress it up on top, but dress it down on the bottom, or what my Grandma likes to call it “a fancy top with raggedy jeans!” haha. I obviously had to “shoulder” my jacket (tip: if all else fails, shoulder it), rock the shades, strap on the studded heels, and flash off my favorite Tannery LA bag to add a little bit more steeze to the outfit :)

Just so we’re clear: basics aren’t basic. We LOVE basics, all year every year! Keep your wardrobe simple and focus on seasonal accent colors like navy, olive green, and black. Incorporate patterns like stripes or simple geometric shapes to keep things fun yet simple! Love this look on my sis because she kept her outfit super toned down and then threw on those BRIGHT orange moroccan flats as a fun statement.
