We met the first day of first grade, and have been friends ever since. Although some elements of our personalities are poles apart, our love for fashion, food, fun, & adventure always seem to align. Our passions come from an open exchange of lighthearted and creative energy, or what some like to call cocktails. Just kidding!
Our fervor is the DNA of who we are as a team: a little bit of this, and a little bit of that – forming Halfsies.
‘Halfsies’ was evolved from the term ‘hapa’, a word we commonly use to refer to ourselves. ‘Hapa’ is recognized as Hawaiian slang for mixed racial heritage – also a loan from the English word half (Wikipedia). We are hapa sisters – the simple premise of two halves joining together as one team. In our youth, we were the unstoppable two-man basketball team (think Larry Bird/Magic Johnson esque). Today, we’re hapa sisters of Japanese/European descent that have paired together yet again to share our adventures as we struggle through our 20s, cocktail in hand & proud smiles ever on our faces.
Hiii! I’m Eryn (or ‘E’), a twenty-something living in beautiful SoCal, wishing I was living in a John Hughes film. I have an abnormal fixation on anything floral, sparkly, cheetah print, bright, and made of chocolate. My leisure pursuits consist of discovering unique fashions, an array of foods, fresh new music, & riveting adventures. I try my hardest to live by my mantra, “Live, Laugh, Love, Dance.”
I’m Larissa, a California girl who loves sunshine and poolside bubbly, the beach, warm weather, and laid back style. I have an endless heart for adventure, discovery, and trying new things. My perfect day consists of beach yoga, black coffee, boutique shopping, and colorful sunsets. In the words of Coco Chanel, “J’aime la vie! I feel that to live is a wonderful thing.”
